even if you have certain health challenges or may be starting out as a couch potato!

Those of us at FitnessXT didn't start out Fit from Youth, we had to EARN IT! 

Jerry just turned "70" this year and he is PRIME TIME example of how...Fitness CAN fit YOU too! 

 

Having 4 Heart Events and 8 Stents, genetics and poor Lifestyle habits played a HUGE wakeup call in this Girevik's life. 

The first Heart attack being at the young age of 39, Jerry knew it was time to take control of his health and make a plan to incorporate good nutrition & fitness into his daily routine. 

Jerry is one of our own Certified Kettlebell Instructor and Heads up the Training for the GS Competition Kettlebell Team for Fitnessxt. 

If you don't think this guy is TOUGH, you better come check it out!  Most 30 year old's don't stand a chance next to him underneath a heavy Kettlebell!  And a big FYI....Jerry is also the oldest GS Sport Competitor in the United States!!

A note to all men over 50 from Jerry:

Today's special update is just for the guys - in particular, the guys looking to lose fat, to get back into shape, or to live a better life.  Fellas, here's the deal.  As we transition from young dudes into full-fledged men, a few things tend to happen: we move a little less and we eat a little more.  Our metabolism slows down and we gain some fat.  Maybe a little fat; maybe a lot.  If you’re like most guys, you’ll chalk it up to a natural part of aging.  Kinda like losing your hair or suffering from an ever- decreasing sex drive.

But we have two words for you:  Screw. That!!

Despite what you've heard, it doesn’t take much to lose weight, get back in shape, and enhance the quality of your life.  All it takes is the right program, the right habits, the right mentors, and the right support network.  Just ask any of the guys that we've trained with who use kettlebells.  Their results have been phenomenal!  And I can show you how to get the same results too..  Who wouldn't want their youth back again!!

Hi Liberty,
        The pic on the Left is the picture of me that about made me throw up.  It looked like somebody inflated me with an air pump.  I cropped it out of a group family photo.  I was having trouble walking with plantar's fasciitis and had to skip Disney World with my wife and kids because I knew I couldn't handle the walking for several days.  I was pre-diabetic, my back was killing me most of the time, and I could hardly get out of a chair.  I decided that enough was enough.  My self-image was pretty low.  The second photo on the right is what I am shooting for.  That was me in 1995 riding the Michigander Ride that came through Big Rapids that year.  I rode about 325 miles in six days back then and I weighed about 202 lbs. (if my memory serves me correctly).  I’ve now lost 56 lbs in 6 months on the VIP Diet and my goal is to get back to that level of fitness or hopefully better.  Jerry gives me inspiration to get there!!  Hopefully, I can give somebody else the shove I needed to make the change.
